Say hello to our newest design team member, Justine. 👋
Justine is a Creative Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Visual Artist with a list of accomplishments and exhibitions (including ARTEXPRESS 2014) under her belt already. She is also a local girl who grew up in and around Mudgee before undertaking a sea change to study a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design at Wollongong Uni.
After graduating, Justine interned with Carriageworks and volunteered with the Sculpture by the Sea, using her graphic design skills to help create a Kids Guide for the 2018 Sculpture by the Sea Exhibition in Bondi and Cottesloe. As a Creative Arts Instructor, Justine has also hosted staff bonding painting parties for corporates such as the Commonwealth Bank.
Luckily for us, in October 2018 Justine returned to Mudgee and joined our team. She has been kicking some great goals for our clients ever since.
Come in and meet Justine and see what she can do for you. ...

Certainly a good read for those who are interested in the latest changes that may affect your Facebook for business!Want to know a little bit about how the latest changes may affect your Facebook for business? Please read on (it’s less than a 3 minute read).
Facebook is always changing in an endeavour to improve the users experience (for the better apparently).
The latest changes launched at the F8 - Facebook Designers Conference have brought privacy back into the main frame. Privacy has, and will probably always be a challenge for Facebook given the nature of the beast, but all that aside, there are a few key things business users need to be aware of.
Facebook plans to downplay the News Feed as the central focal point of Facebook interaction, bringing the hugely popular Events and Groups interface to the forefront. (As an aside, there are 400 million people who belong to groups). Why? Because Facebook believes that the story and experience driven content shared through groups and multiple platforms is far more engaging and groups are seen as safer and more private places to share your experiences and said stories with like-minded people.
The challenge for businesses will be to create (and manage) engaging groups that people will want to join and then fine tuning and adapting various approaches to its audience.
I kind of like it actually as it really will force businesses to work on a wholistic brand and work harder to engage their existing and potential customers - less blatant advertising and more sincere engagement perhaps.......
In short, it will mean – more content, on more varied subjects and in more formats, all aimed at different experiences, hooks for different audiences AND constant strategy and planning.
So, keep these things in mind when you are reviewing your current Facebook Strategy:
- You need to create more content – specifically stories for both organic and paid activity
- If you already have Facebook Groups – you need to start paying them attention, engage, share, manage effectively and focus on great content
- Prioritise Messaging, again for both paid and organic activity.
There was a lot more discussed at the Conference, but the stream went for 8 hours and this is currently the most important feedback for business my users (I think)… Oh there are the potential changes to Instagram…… but I’ll talk about that next time.
Footnote: Perhaps this new focus on groups and the newly introduced groups tab will make stepping into the dating site side of things much easier for Mark Zuckerberg’s team as well….. just saying... ...

For Throwback Thursday, the creative team at Hi Tech ITworX would like to showcase the website for Wilgowrah - A Country Escape.
Wilgowrah - A Country Escape is a bed and breakfast accommodation located in Lue near Mudgee, NSW. Wilgowrah - A Country Escape came to the creative team at ITworX requiring a country themed design where they could promote their website and direct traffic for bookings. With wonderful wording written by Splice Marketing & Communications Mudgee, we built a mobile compatible website that also featured a Facebook Flow plugin.
This plugin allows clients to better promote their business online by allowing posts from their Facebook business page to be automatically and instantly copied over to their website, ultimately providing regular updates to the website. They have since been featured in Air BnB as a featured location.
